My 2CV6 Club 1983 Before Restauration
The car I bought looked ok and was in relatively good mechanical condition. It always looks better before you go into details of the rust condition.
The chassis had been replaced and more body work was done over the last 39 years. But a 2CV rust away during your drive. There was still a lot of rust issues. Anyway, it was more than expected, but I managed to restore the whole car including home paint work in about 4 months.
The engine was not running very well. It was almost impossible to start hot. The RPM fluctuated up and down in idle as well. The manifold was leaking with a lot of noise.
The engine needed a new manifold, heat exchangers, heater tubes and engine cowlings: There was ignition problems and carburetor problems
